  1. Always take the stairs as a replacement for the elevator. If you work or live on some higher floor always leave elevator couple of floors early so you can walk rest of the way.

  2. If you need a bus or train to get to your work always get off a couple of stops early and - walk.

  3. If you own a car, park away from the front door of store or your work. It will be easy for you to find a parking place and you will have a reason to walk.

  4. Take your pet for a walk, if you do not have one, ask your neighbor to do that instead of him or her.

  5. If you need to contact your colleague at work, try not to email them or phone, walk there to their desk or office.

  6. Before every dinner take a walk. You will increase the amount of steps you set to take that day and that walk will decrease your appetite also.

 

At last, aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water every day during your weight loss journey. You can split this plan in two by drinking 4 glasses while you are at work and another 4 at home. If you don't like to drink just water you can drink something else instead, lemonade with no sugar, punch or sugar free ice tea.
